Frequently Asked Questions
Have Questions?
We’re here to guide you swiftly, addressing your queries and welcoming your suggestions with open arms.
How Long Do Sessions Last?
Therapy and Assessment sessions are 50 minutes.
Do you accept insurance?
No, we do not accept insurance. We believe that you’re personal. We wrote a whole blog post about this – why we don’t accept insurance.
What is your cancellation policy?
To ensure our therapeutic journey remains on track and productive, we kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Adhering to this policy allows us to effectively manage our schedule and allocate that time slot to another client in need.
While we understand that unforeseen circumstances may occasionally arise, upholding this cancellation notice requirement is crucial for maintaining the consistency and continuity essential for achieving meaningful progress in our work together.
In the event of a genuine emergency, we’re happy to evaluate the situation and make an exception on a case-by-case basis. However, barring such extenuating circumstances, sessions missed without proper notice will be subject to the full fee.
By jointly prioritizing our regular meeting times, we can establish a reliable therapeutic rhythm and create an environment conducive to exploring challenges, gaining insights, and fostering lasting positive change. Your commitment to this process is invaluable, and we look forward to our continued collaboration.
Do you provide in-person or online counseling?
All therapy and assessment sessions are conducted online via FaceTime or a secure platform.
Do you prescribe medication?
No, I have a Doctorate in Psychology, not a medical degree (MD). I am happy to coordinate care if you are taking psychiatric medication managed by other medical professionals.
What is your theoretical approach?
Typically I approach things using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused framework. My focus is on helping you achieve change in the short term.
